OLIVER Bunyi is set to take over the head coaching post for Emilio Aguinaldo College.
The 46-year-old mentor replaces coach Ariel Sison at the helm for the Generals, with the team set to start its buildup in the upcoming 2019 PBA D-League season.
Bunyi is no stranger to the team, leading Batangas-EAC in the PBA D-League last season as he also served as an assistant coach to Sison.
He has also served in the coaching staff in the first iteration of the Smart Gilas program under coach Rajko Toroman, with San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) with coach Leo Austria, and his latest with GlobalPort working under coaches Pido Jarencio, Eric Gonzales, and Franz Pumaren.
Sison, meanwhile, slides down to a deputy after amassing a 17-37 record in his three years on the job.
Exhibiting the school's premium on virtues and excellence, he steered EAC to a 4-14 card this past NCAA Season 94.
