ANOTHER player has left National University.
Third-year playmaker JV Gallego has since taken his act to San Beda, just the latest to leave the Bulldogs in what has been a tumultuous offseason.
SPIN.ph sources confirmed the 5-foot-10 guard has parted ways with the Bulldogs last week, ending his three season-run in Jhocson.
Gallego, a standout from Chiang Kai Shek back in high school, was a key piece off the bench for the Jamike Jarin-coached squad last UAAP Season 82, averaging 7.2 points on 40-percent shooting from deep, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists last year.
The 22-year-old will still have two more playing years as he joins the Red Lions come NCAA Season 97.
Gallego, however, will have to fight for his minutes at San Beda as coach Boyet Fernandez' guard rotation remains deep despite the departure of Evan Nelle for La Salle.
The Red Lions' backcourt includes James Canlas, and upstarts Rhayyan Amsali, Peter Alfaro, Ralph Penuela, and Prince Etrata.
