LETRAN is the latest beneficiary amid an exodus of players from National University-Nazareth School.
The Knights have acquired Jeff Mailim and Jimly Lantaya from the Bullpups side that ruled the last two UAAP juniors championships, Letran athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo confirmed on Wednesday.
Mailim, a 5-foot-10 guard, was a part of coach Goldwin Monteverde's backcourt rotation as a reliever in NU's immaculate 16-0 run to the championship this past UAAP Season 82.
He averaged 2.2 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.0 minutes of action last year as he played behind guards like Gerry Abadiano, Terrence Fortea, Ernest Felicilda, and Harold Alarcon.

Lantaya, meanwhile, is a 6-foot-9 project for the Bullpups who posted averages of 3.8 points and 2.5 boards last season as a back-up to Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quiambao.
The two will be ready to suit up for the Knights come NCAA Season 96 as the Bonnie Tan-coached side seek to defend their throne behind Fran Yu, Larry Muyang, and Jeo Ambohot.
These moves continue what has been a whirlwind month for the Jhocson-based campus, with the departure of Tamayo and Abadiano for University of the Philippines, and Quiambao to La Salle.
Monteverde, who holds the post in both the Bulldogs and Bullpups, has also been sacked on Monday.
