EUGENE Toba finally gets his shot in the seniors division as San Beda included him in its 15-man roster for NCAA Season 94.
The Nigerian high-flyer will make his debut for the Red Lions when the defending champions open their three-peat bid on Saturday against host Perpetual at Mall of Asia Arena.
Toba replaces Cameroonian Arnaud Noah in the lineup.
Noah averaged 4.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 9.6 minutes of action last season, coming off the bench to relieve starting center Donald Tankoua. He has been with the team for the past two years, and even earned the Finals MVP honors in San Beda’s sweep of Arellano back in NCAA Season 92.
Meanwhile, Toba’s inclusion as a part of the Red Lions was limited to just preseason tournaments as he was a fixture to the school’s Team B.
He also competed in the NCAA Season 92 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, losing to St. Benilde’s Yankie Haruna in the championship duel.
