Arellano set to host first-ever home game against Stags to kick off NCAA On Tour

    Jun 22, 2017

THE NCAA released on Thursday its Season 93 first round schedule, including the six playdates that will be played in its member schools as part of its ‘NCAA On Tour.’

Arellano will play host to its first-ever ‘home game’ when the Chiefs take on San Sebastian in the juniors and seniors division at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively, on July 13, while Mapua follows with a juniors and seniors match against Perpetual Help on July 20.

The scene shifts to San Sebastian College’s Cavite City campus where the Stags face Jose Rizal University on July 27, before Letran faces College of Saint Benilde in its gym located in Intramuros on August 3.

Emilio Aguinaldo College plays in front of its home fans against Lyceum on August 10, before the NCAA On Tour in the first round wraps up with Perpetual Help taking on reigning champion San Beda on August 17 at its Las Pinas main campus.

Right after the opening on July 8, a juniors doubleheader will actually be held at Letran gym on July 9 with San Sebastian facing San Beda, and Mapua taking on Arellano at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively.

With the exception of the opening matches that will also pit San Sebastian against San Beda, and Mapua versus Arellano, the rest of the games scheduled every Tuesday and Friday in the first round will be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The NCAA decided to play games in the campus to bring the players closer to its fans and bring solidarity to member schools.
