EMILIO Aguinaldo College pulled off a huge shocker in the NCAA Season 94 as it nipped College of St. Benilde 69-67 on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

JP Magullano scored seven points at crunchtime, including the go-ahead basket with a minute and 59 seconds left to give the Generals a 67-65 lead.

It didn't help the Blazers' cause that Clement Leutcheu and Prince Carlos missed four foul shots in the final minute and a half as the Generals stole the game from the favored Blazers.

Hamadou Laminou also had a huge hand in the win as he swatted away Leutcheu's game-tying basket at the end game to salvage the win for the Generals.

"This game is important for CSB but it is more important for us. Pagnatalo kami magigigng last kami," said Ariel Sison who was proud with how Magullano performed.

"Ang problema lang naman sa kanya is yung rookie mistakes. Pinipilit niyang ibaba yung bola kaya sinasabi ko sa kanya mag-concentrate lang siya," he said of his rookie forward.

Magullano finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, Laminou added 13 points and two blocks while Jerome Garcia added a double-double of 10 points and 10 boards for the now 3-11 Generals.

The loss even put more pressure on the Blazers to deliver as they fell to fifth place with an 8-6 record now a full-game behind fourth-running Perpetual Help at 9-5.

The Blazers have a tough schedule ahead of them as they have yet to face the top three teams in Lyceum, San Beda and Letran. The, Altas, on the other hand, already trumped the Pirates this round.

Yankie Haruna paced the Blazers with 18 points as Justin Gutang added 16 in the loss.

The scores:

EAC 69 – Magullano 14, Laminou 13, Garcia 10, Bautista 10, Cadua 8, Mendoza 8, Tampoc 6, Gonzales 0, Bugarin 0, Corilla 0, Neri 0

CSB 67 – Haruna 18, Gutang 16, Carlos 11, Dixon 8, Leutcheu 4, Pasturan 4, Belgica 4, Nayve 2, Naboa 0, Young 0
