GAMES might still be on hold, but that's not going to stop the NCAA from lifting off its upcoming season.
Specials centering on the league are set to be produced as the Grand Old League copes with the effects brought upon by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
NCAA Management Committee chair Fr. Vic Calvo of host Letran shared that the NCAA has already discussed matters with broadcast partner ABS-CBN to still produce content as they await the resumption of the next season, hopefully by the first quarter of 2021.
"We've talked to our partner ABS-CBN during the lull of the season and they've proposed things," he told the online Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum on Tuesday.
Those specials will center on the foundation of the NCAA, its community service programs, and its plans beyond.
"During the pandemic, we'll resort to the available platforms para lang matuloy ang NCAA," he said.

This is in conjunction to the NCAA's live contract with the TV network as it's currently in the middle of its 10-year deal with ABS-CBN signed back in 2015.
Though ABS-CBN still hasn't been granted a franchise renewal by the Congress, it can still broadcast content through its cable channels and online platforms -- one which the NCAA is looking to capitalize on.
Calvo has also been given the assurance by the network of its commitment to continue being the league's broadcast partner despite the struggles the company is currently facing.
"We're asking for the hard figures, but we know the situation. We cannot force them kasi kino-consider natin yung situation nila cause they're also struggling for their survival," he said.
"They're committed to promote the brand of NCAA. Kami naman, hopeful kami na maging maganda rin lahat at the end of the day para sa partner namin."
