SAN Sebastian caught fire just in the right moment as it continued its mastery over Emilio Aguinaldo College with an 81-69 victory in the NCAA Season 93 on Friday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
Caught in a tight battle against the Generals for most of the game, the Stags went on a 12-0 tear late in the game to turn a two point lead into a 79-65 advantage in the endgame.
Ian Valdez and Michael Calisaan sparked the rally, with Valdez draining a three pointer in the 3:20 mark before Calisaan completed a three pointer to start the breakaway.
Lorenzo Navarro then followed that up on the next possession with a three of his own, before Calisaan added a free throw while Ryan Costelo scored another bucket to cap the rally.
The win allowed the Stags to tie the Letran Knights at fourth place with a 5-5 record.
The Generals, on the other hand, fell to a tie at sixth to eighth place with Arellano and Jose Rizal with a 4-6 record.
