MICHAEL Calisaan, still in his uniform, made the short walk from Arellano to San Sebastian's dormitory just in across the street following the Stags' NCAA On Tour match inside the Chiefs' lair.
For Calisaan, Thursday's game was like another day at the office and it definitely showed in the stats sheet after finishing with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.
"Para sa akin, normal lang," said Calisaan after the Stags pulled off a 65-56 win over Arellano in front of Chiefs fans inside the Arellano gym.
Calisaan was instrumental in San Sebastian's late 9-0 run, hitting the basket that made it 58-50. RK Ilagan capped off the run with a triple to make it an 11-point lead.
San Sebastian won despite getting into foul trouble, committing 28 fouls including four by Calisaan.
But Calisaan said he never let foul trouble get in the way of his game after being reminded by San Sebastian coach Egay Macaraya to play defense no matter what.
"Sabi lang ni coach, dumepensa pa rin kami kahit foul trouble. Hindi kami mananalo kung hindi kami dumepensa ... hindi kami natatakot gumraduate," said Calisaan.
