THE Marcelino brothers have now taken twinning to the next level.
Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino showed up at the Filoil Flying V Centre with an interesting look on Friday, playing in mismatched pairs of sneakers in Lyceum’s 106-97 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College.
The two split up their Kobe AD mid size 11 pairs, with one foot in March Madness and the other in Pure Platinum.
Asked what’s with the look, Jaycee broke into a laugh.
“Tinesting lang naming magkambal kung okay lang din. Sinubukan lang din namin,” he said. “Parehas lang kami ng size kaya napag-tripan lang namin. Same lang yung sapatos, kulay lang yung pinagkaiba.”
As different as their shoes were, their games remained just as effective.
Jaycee finished with a career-high of 24 points, eight rebounds, five steals, and two assists, while Jayvee had 10 points, six dimes, two boards, and a steal to guide the Pirates to their second straight win in NCAA Season 94.
Though the Marcelinos planned this as a one-off, it wouldn’t hurt if they replicate this look once again.
“Maganda yung nilaro namin ngayon, so siguro next game, ganoon ulit,” said Jaycee.
Lyceum coach Topex Robinson, though, isn't amused.
“Nagpapa-cute lang yang mga 'yan,” he grinned.
