LYCEUM ran St. Benilde to the ground in the second half, rolling to a 77-65 victory to remain unbeaten in the NCAA Season 94 on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
CJ Perez and JC Marcelino spearheaded a torrid second half showing for the Pirates, who at one point scored eight points in a span of 24 seconds to power a 13-0 blast and take a 52-43 lead.
They never let up.
"The guys just didn't give up. We're always gonna be challenged, there would come a time where we need to show up with out and play our best game," said Lyceum coach Topex Robinson.
"Winning hides a lot of flaws and maraming learning from us. As much as we want to celebrate, we have to look ahead," he added.
Perez finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds and five steals as Mike Nzeusseu added 16 points and 13 rebounds as the Pirates improved their record to 7-0.
Marcelino scored 14 points as MJ Ayaay contributed 11.
Justib Gutang led the Blazers with 13 points, five rebounds and three assists as they dropped their second straight loss to fall to 2-4.
