LYCEUM and San Sebastian clash in an early battle of heavyweights in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament on Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
A handful of key players in Intramuros like Jayson David and Renzo Navarro, as well as head coach Topex Robinson, all having their links to Recto, making the 2 p.m. duel all the more interesting.
"I'm excited to face San Sebastian. It's really going to be a great challenge for us," said Robinson as Lyceum holds a 2-1 win-loss slate heading into the duel.
The same goes for the opposing side, as San Sebastian stakes its unbeaten 2-0 record behind the 1-2 punch of RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi.
"Magandang test ito sa amin na makalaban ang LPU dahil gusto namin mapatunayan na kaya na talaga naming mag-contend," said coach Egay Macaraya.
Meanwhile, Perpetual (2-1) tries to end its two-game losing streak against the dangerous Jose Rizal University (1-3) at 12 p.m., before Letran (3-1) shoots for its fourth straight win against Emilio Aguinaldo College (1-2) at 4 p.m.
