LYCEUM turned up the heat just in time, blasting Emilio Aguinaldo College, 86-74, to remain unscathed in the NCAA Season 93 on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

The win was the Pirates' 14th in as many games, four wins away from a sweep and an outright finals berth.

JC and JV Marcelino were once again on the forefront of the attack to finish off the gritty Generals which trimmed a 20-point deficit to just six.

Seeing the Pirates lead fall to 78-72 with 4:42, the Marcelino twins led an 8-2 blast to put away the Generals for good.

The loss meant that the Generals stayed at sixth place with a 6-8 record.

"There was this one stretch that I just let them play. I want them to find away to really get back. If they make a mistake, they have to figure that out on their own," said Lyceum head coach Topex Robinson.

"They know when I need to push that button to wake them up. I think it's the kind of relationship that we have right now," he added.

MJ Ayaay led the Pirates with 15 points and nine rebounds as CJ Perez added 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Raymar Caduyac also had a game to remember, with nine points, seven assists and five steals.

Jerome Garcia paced the Generals with 17 points and nine boards while Sydney Onwubere added a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Making matters worse for EAC, back up big man Jervin Guzman had to be carried off a stretcher in the final minutes of the game due to a leg injury.
