Topex Robinson insists Lyceum will parade a complete lineup in the PCCL even with its D-League stint.

LYCEUM coach Topex Robinson is excited about the chance of facing UAAP champion Ateneo in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL).

The Pirates will be playing in the PCCL Elite Eight from February 8 to 15 where the best of the best college teams will see action. Incidentally, LPU is grouped with Cesafi titlist University of Visayas, Luzon qualifier Naga College Foundation, and UAAP champion Ateneo.

Robinson has been adamant during the collegiate season that he wants to learn a lot from Ateneo, particularly from its head coach Tab Baldwin. The Pirates coach gets his wish in the PCCL.

“At the end of the day, we are always here to learn. That’s an opportunity for us to learn and grow,” Robinson said.

“We know that’s a well-coached team. I’ve been open naman na I really idolize coach Tab and how he runs the team. I’m learning a lot from him on a personal basis,” said Robinson.

Robinson said LPU is fully-committed to the PCCL despite also having a team in the PBA D-League as their schedule allows them to play for Zark’s Burger in the Aspirants Cup.

Hence, LPU will parade a complete line-up led by reigning NCAA MVP CJ Perez for the PCCL.

“Miss Rhose Montreal (PCCL vice president for marketing) helped us with the scheduling. We told them that we want to commit a hundred percent to the PCCL. Lahat nag-fit so we are not going to miss games,” said Robinson.

”That’s good for us and for the league also na we don’t want to sell them short din na kulang ‘yung line-up,” he added.
