LETRAN continues to retool ahead of NCAA Season 101, acquiring promising prospects in Edry Alejandro, Elijah Yusi, and Jake Lordwin Yong.
The three freshmen will make their debut for the Knights in the upcoming Playtime Cares 18th Filoil EcoOil Preseason Cup presented by ABC Tile Adhesive.
Alejandro, 19, is a 6-foot-4 forward who was one of the stalwarts of the University of the East.
He averaged 9.21 points on 44-percent shooting, to go with 9.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals, as he helped the Junior Warriors make a spirited run in the UAAP Season 87 boys' basketball tournament.
Bolstering the Knights backcourt
Yusi, 19, is a 6-foot-2 swingman who spent the past year with the Arellano after his stay in NU-Nazareth School.
He normed 9.4 points, 4.7 boards, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals in his first and only year with the Braves this past NCAA Season 100 before helping the team reach the 2025 Smart-NBTC National Finals where he nabbed 6.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 dimes.
Yong was the 2024 CESAFI All-Star Game MVP as a member of the University of Cebu Junior Webmasters.
The shifty guard was also the starting playmaker for Team Khalifa in the NBTC National Finals where he posted 7.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, and almost propelled the Cebuano side to the Fearless Four of the Philippine national under-19 championship.
