ATO Ular triggered Letran's crippling 14-2 run that allowed it to run through Jose Rizal University, 81-61, Tuesday in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The tireless forward's key buckets sparked the Knights' pullaway from a tight 61-55 affair to a convincing 75-57 lead with 3:54 remaining, before Fran Yu put the exclamation point in the rout with a late trey.

Ular paced Letran with 17 points, seven rebounds, and two steals, while Yu got 16 points, five boards, and three dimes.

Bonbon Batiller also got 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Larry Muyang powered through a bloody hand and delivered 10 points and five boards.

Him being on the wrong end of a Chester Jungco forearm midway through the fourth period proved to be the rallying point for Letran to take over the game despite committing 23 turnovers against the lowly JRU.

"Siguro may factor yun, yung natamaan si Larry. Pangit sa isang player na nasasaktan yung kasama nila at naaapektuhan din ang game nila," said coach Bonnie Tan of the sequence that lit a fire under the Knights.

Letran improved to 7-3 to grab a share of second place with Lyceum.
