LETRAN and College of St. Benilde clash for all the marbles in Game Three of the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball finals on Sunday in Antipolo.
Gametime is at 3 p.m.
Things you need to know.
TWO DECADES IN THE MAKING
Sunday Salvacion won the MVP in 2002 and led the Blazers to the finals where they fell to San Sebastian.
The Blazers haven't reached the Final Four since then until this season when MVP Will Gozum powered the Taft side to the championship round.
EMULATING SKYWALKER
Letran hasn't completed a three-peat since the Samboy Lim-led Knights won three straight from 1982 to 1984.
It's now on the shoulders of Louie Sangalang and Brent Paraiso to lead Letran as it looks to keep the throne in Muralla.
WITHOUT YU
Unfortunately, Letran will be a man down for this winner-take-all affair with Fran Yu serving his one-game suspension.
It's a tough end to the collegiate career of the Manila-born captain as he'll be relegated to a cheerleader.
Pressure is now on Kurt Reyson, Tommy Olivario, and the returning Kyle Tolentino to pick up the slack and keep the Knights' backcourt running.
STEP UP SEASON
The Blazers already know what they can get from Gozum, Miggy Corteza, and Migs Oczon. What can put them over the top is how the others will step up.
Robi Nayve produced 10 points in that crucial Game Two win, but the Blazers need more from the likes of Mark Sangco, Jimboy Pasturan, and JC Cullar if they want to complete this dream season on a high.
