AN in-form Letran squad continued to flex its muscles in the NCAA Season 94, running through Arellano, 88-70, on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The win pushed the Knights' streak to four straight wins as they kept third place with a 4-1 record.
Larry Muyang continued his dominance as he led Letran with 16 points on 6-for-7 shooting to go with 10 boards.
Muyang conspired with Jerrick Balanza and JP Calvo in their third period breakaway to create separation for good following a close first half.
The closest the Chiefs got was within eight points of the Knights, 78-70 with 3:33 left, but the boys of coach Jeff Napa came up with a 10-0 run to finish off their foes for good.
"Good win for us especially sobrang tentative namin nung start. Nung nag-back to square one kami, naging aggressive ulit kami, nakuha namin yung tamang rhythm namin," said Letran head coach Jeff Napa.
"Actually, hindi pa ito yung best performance namin. Tentative yung team nung start. But yung character na maglaro as a team, nanumbalik," he added.
Five other players hit double-digit scores led by Balanza's 14 points.
JP Calvo added 13 points and six assists, Christian Fajarito added a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards while Bonbon Batiller finished with 11.
The Knights dominated the Chiefs on the glass 50-33, resulting to a 23-2 advantage on second chance points.
Michael Canete led the now 2-4 Chiefs with 23 points and eight boards.
