THE NCAA Management Committee (ManCom) denied the appeals of both Letran and Jose Rizal University regarding the suspensions of rookie Jimboy Estrada and coach Louie Gonzalez, respectively.
The ManCom upheld the decision on both Estrada and Gonzales on Tuesday after a heated discussion among its members, SPIN.ph learned from sources

With the suspension taking effect, Gonzales won't be calling the shots for the Heavy Bombers on Wednesday when they take on skidding San Sebastian in the second game of the Season 100 men's basketball tournament at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Estrada, meanwhile, will miss the Knights' highly-important game against Mapua this Friday.
Estrada, a hot candidate for both the Rookie of the Year and MVP plum, received two unsportsmanlike foul in the Knights’ game against the University of Perpetual Help Altas, including a heated confrontation with a game official that earned him his second T for the match and outright ejection.
Letran lost the game, 71-61, with Estrada almost close to a triple double with 14 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds.
Gonzales meanwhile, was meted the suspension for angrily confronting the game officials in the waning seconds of the Heavy Bombers’ close 75-71 loss to the Mapua Cardinals.
The veteran coach felt a foul on Marvin Raymundo by Chris Hubilla was missed by the referees during a rebound play and JRU trailing, 73-71, with 3.4 seconds remaining.
Gonzales furiously stormed to the court and shouted at the game officials while being pacified by his coaching staff and JRU official Paul Supan.
He was later given a technical and Ivan Panapanaan was charged a foul for three automatic free throws for Mapua.
