KEITH Pido and Ben Adamos are set to give Perpetual a much-needed boost as the Altas begin their early preparations for NCAA Season 95 through their stint in the 2019 PBA D-League.
Pido is sure to bolster coach Frankie Lim's guard rotation after missing the past season due to an ACL injury.
Meanwhile, Adamos is raring to make his mark after transferring from San Beda as he'll be counted on to fill the role left by NCAA MVP Prince Eze up front.
Edgar Charcos, Tonton Peralta, Jielo Razon, Kim Aurin and Anton Tamayo are still with the squad as Perpetual aims to build on from last season's run to the Final Four.
"We are using the D-League to see where we were right now and to get good games and proper adjustments, kung ano pa ang kulang at kung ano pa ang dapat gawin," said the four-time NCAA champion coach.
Aside from Pido and Adamos, also making the Altas roster are transferees Lean Martel and Lele Guissani from San Beda, James Labarda from Arellano, Jeffer Egan from Southern Philippine College in Cagayan de Oro, Ramlee Lanoy from St. Francis of Assisi and JBoy Solis from Olivarez.
Lim also hired former Mapua deputy Ed Cordero and son Melo Lim to add to his staff which already has of Myk Saguiguit, Ferdinand Ali-Ali and Gerard Dizon.
Lim is excited to test the mettle of his wards starting in the PBA D-League, set to tip off on Feb. 14.
"It's always good to play the best teams to make us a better and more competitive team. Magandang challenge ito and it's interesting to see how strong we are compared to the other teams. It's a huge plus for our team in terms of bonding, experience, and confidence," he said.
