JOSE Rizal University made sure to lock up two key cogs from its juniors program by securing the commitments of Paul Enal and Martin Pineda.
Heavy Bombers coach Louie Gonzalez bared the development with the Light Bombers duo choosing to stay in Kalentong for college starting this NCAA Season 100.
It’s a massive cop for JRU with both Enal and Pineda being part of the league's Defensive Team this past NCAA Season 99.
Enal, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 12.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 blocks as he led the Light Bombers' 3-6 campaign.
Pineda, on the other hand, carried the offensive load for JRU with his 13.8 points, 2.6 boards, 1.8 blocks, and 1.3 assists.
JRU earlier locked up Negrense standouts John Loyd Martinez and Shannon Sealey from Bacolod Trinity Christian School.
They join the Heavy Bombers roster which still has Joshua Guiab and Marwin Dionisio, with the squad looking to return to the Final Four for the first time since 2017.
