JM Bravo remains uncertain on whether he can still comeback for Lyceum in Season 100 of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.
The 6-foot-2 wingman is still undergoing concussion protocols after being left unconscious late in the Pirates’ game against the Arellano Chiefs last week following an accidental collision with Renzo Abiera.
Bravo said he’s still awaiting clearance from doctors whether he could resume playing this season or defer it for next year.
He admitted that he still feels a bit dizzy at times.
“Sabi ng doctors delikado pa rin. Kasi sabi once na mauntog pa or may mangyari na impact sa ulo, puwedeng mag-bleeding sa utak ko,” said Bravo on Saturday as he personally watched Lyceum’s game against University of Perpetual Help.
“May gagawin pang protocols sa akin, hindi ko lang alam kung gaano katagal.”
Bravo came from a checkup before proceeding to Lyceum’s game against Perpetual. Another checkup will be done on him next week.
“Akala ko nga makakakuha na ako ng clearance sa doctors,” he said with a smile.

He’s not discounting the possibility of returning again and giving the Pirates some push in their bid to make it back to the Final Four.
But at the same time, Bravo said he really has to be in the pink of health before resuming his playing career.
“Naniniwala pa rin naman ako sa sarili ko na makakabalik pa rin ako. Pero siguro hindi para sa akin. Siguro baka next year. Palalakasin ko muna yung sarili ko.”
