HELP came in a big way for Letran's stars as Jeo Ambohot stepped up to power the Knights past the Arellano University Chiefs, 82-75, on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 93 at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.
Held to just two points in their 74-81 loss to San Beda last week, Ambohot came up with the a huge bounce back game with 15 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks as the Knights scored a morale-boosting win.
The pride of Compostela Valley held the fort alongside Jeremiah Taladua for most of the game before deferring to Nambatac's in the endgame.
Nambatac fired 10 of Letran's last 12, making eight of his nine attempts from the line to turn back Arellano’s comeback attempts.
"Magandang bwelo ito coming into Thursday. We'll just have one day rest then laro kaagad so sana magtuloy-tuloy," said Letran head coach Jeff Napa.
"Yun ang kulang sa amin nung last game, wala kaming suporta, pero maganda naman na nakuha namin ito ngayon," he added.
Two other players finished with double digits for the Knights with Nambatac also finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, while Taladua scored 13.
Lervin Flores paced the Chiefs with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Salado had 15 points.
The win brought Letran back in the middle of the standings with a 2-3 win-loss record, tying the Chiefs.
