PAO Javillonar is in danger of missing Letran’s opening game in Season 100 of the NCAA for playing in a mini-tournament in Davao recently.

The 6-foot-5 center finds himself in hot water after suiting up for Converge in the 39th Kadayawan Festival against Phoenix, which the FiberXers won in overtime, 132-127.

Javillonar was a second round pick of Converge in the last PBA rookie draft.

But despite getting selected by the FiberXers, he deferred joining Asia’s oldest professional league for its 49th season to play out his final year with the Knights in a bid to help the program regain lost glory.

Apparently, the NCAA Management Committee got hold of Javillonar’s brief appearance in the Davao meet and the body will decide his fate before the century season of the country’s oldest collegiate league gets underway on Sept. 7, as per SPIN.ph sources.

Letran will play its first outing on Sept. 8 against San Sebastian at the Filoil EcoOil Centre. They are hoping to bounce back from a dismal last season which saw them notch only two wins in 18 games.

Before that, the Knights charged to a three-peat from Seasons 95 to 97 under former mentor Bonnie Tan. Javillonar was a part of all three champion teams.

    Pao the PBA draft pick

He made himself available in the last draft and was tabbed as the 19th overall pick by Converge.

The younger brother of former PBA player Jeff eventually joined the FiberXers during their Kadayawan campaign last July where they competed against Rain or Shine, Phoenix, and reigning UAAP men’s basketball champion La Salle.

It was in the FiberXers first outing against the Fuel Masters where the younger Javillonar briefly played. He entered the game with three minutes left before halftime and scored his only basket at the 1:19 mark of the second quarter to put his team on top, 50-38.

Javillonar didn't return to the game afterwards and didn't play another match for the rest of the tournament.
