MISSING the single biggest game for San Beda in NCAA Season 101 didn’t dampen Janti Miller’s mood one bit.

Arguably the Red Lions’ biggest contributor, Miller would not have had it any other way - it, being suspended for the Red Lions' title-clinching Game Two triumph over archrival Letran on Saturday.

“I’m not disappointed at all. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Everyone says they can’t do it without me, but they won it without me,” Miller said after he was finally inside the Big Dome to celebrate the red-and-white's finals sweep of the Knights.

For Miller, it was simply how things were meant to unfold on the road to a championship.

The star rookie was suspended after accumulating two technical fouls in Game One.

Watching from wherever he was during Game Two, however, he praised captain Yukien Andrada and Finals MVP Bryan Sajonia for delivering when it mattered most.

“I knew my team got it. I knew my team could play this game and win this game without me,” he said. “I have to give it to them."

"I’ve been telling Yuki, you’re the best shooter in the league, Bryan, the best scorer.”

Miller time, still, for San Beda

Beyond the court, Miller admitted his sacrifices extended far from the hardwood, having had to travel thousands of kilometers from Los Angeles, California to suit up for San Beda.

“Biggest sacrifice? Moving away from home and going to an environment I’m not comfortable with. The language barrier. I can’t even speak Tagalog,” he said.

Still, Miller said he is willing to go through it all again, as the Red Lions eye back-to-back titles next season.

“Yes, dead-ass motivated. I was eager to play today, but I’m eager to run it back next year for sure,” he said.
