JIO Jalalon, Rey Nambatac, and Jake Pascual returns to their roots as they spearhead the alumni participating in the Shooting Stars competition of the 2018 NCAA All-Stars on Friday.
Jalalon, the Magnolia guard who has seen action for Gilas Pilipinas, will don the familiar Arellano blue-and-gray once more when he teams up with Chief Kraniel Villoria and Brave Marlon Espiritu.
Meanwhile, last season’s Mythical Five member Nambatac, who now plays for Rain or Shine in the PBA, reunites with ex-Knight partner Jerrick Balanza as well as Squire Stacey Tibayan to carry the torch for Letran.
Alaska forward Pascual will also be back for San Beda as he’ll team up with Red Lion Calvin Oftana and Red Cub Penny Estacio for the event.
It will be an interesting competition which brought back the member-schools’ past, present, and future in one squad.
Former NCAA MVP John Wilson rejoins JRU where he’ll be with Agem Miranda and John Amores.
Also participating in the event are Gerald Dizon, Jielo Razon, and Yukihiro Kawamura for Perpetual; Yong Garcia, Exe Biteng, and Clint Escamis for Mapua; RJ Deles, Jimboy Pasturan, and Francis Lopez for St. Benilde; Bong Melocoton, Maui Cruz, and Cjay Boado for EAC; Kevin Lacap, Kim Cinco, and John Barba for Lyceum; and Jeff Quiamco, Ian Valdez, and Milo Janao for San Sebastian.
The day will also see a Skills Challenge, Three-Point Shootout, and Slam Dunk contests before the much-awaited annual NCAA All-Star Game at 4 p.m.
