LETRAN clinched a spot in the Final Four of the NCAA Season 94 after breezing past San Sebastian 79-61 on Tuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Knights improved to 12-4 (win-loss) to seal their first semifinals appearance under the tutelage of three-year coach Jeff Napa.
The last time the Knights made the Final Four was back in 2015, which was also the last time the Intramuros-based school took home a championship under Aldin Ayo.
A clinical display enabled the in-form Knights to open a 17-point lead right in the first half, thanks to fluid ball movement and red hot shooting from the outside.
Bonbon Batiller and Koy Galvelo combined for five threes in the first half to supplement another strong performance from Larry Muyang, who dominated in the paint.
"We still have two games to go bago kami mag-Final Four. Ang iniisip kasi namin we have to take care of our business muna," said Napa, whose team is also in the hunt for a twice-to-beat incentive.
Muyang finished with 15 points, 13 rebounds and theee assists to continue his strong performance a few days after being chosen as the Press Corps' Player of the Week.
Batiller also finished with 15 points as Galvelo added 14. The two combined for eight of the team's 12 triples, the most Letran made in a game this season.
The team also assisted on 27 of their 31 made field goals, tying the season high for most assists by a team which they also set against JRU in the second round.
Bong Quinto and JP Calvo combined for 15 of those assists.
Michael Calisaan scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Stags, who fell to 4-12.
