CHAD Gammad has found himself at the center of the rumor mill over a rumored romance with PBA courtside reporter Apple David.
But for diehard basketball fans, there's more to the 18-year-old guard, who is entering his sophomore year with the Letran Knights in the NCAA.
A native of Richmond, BC, the six-foot shooter attended MacNeill Secondary School where he led the Ravens to the 2025 Richmond Cup and was named the MVP. He also suited up for UPrep Canada for the NXTPRO Hoops in California.

The Fil-Canadian skipper burst into the scene last year after impressing for Top Flight Sports Canada at the 2025 Smart-NBTC National Finals where he averaged 31.2 points on 44.2-percent shooting from threes, to go with 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists en route to a place in the Division 2 Mythical Team selection.
That led to him committing to the Knights, thanks to his coach Nap Santos.
Gammad had a solid rookie year in NCAA Season 101, posting averages of 7.3 points on 39.6-percent clip from deep, and 1.5 boards in his 16 minutes of action. Those are good numbers considering he's playing behind top guns Titing Manalili and Jimboy Estrada in the backcourt.

He did have his moments, most notably his 18-point night last Oct. 8, but that came in a losing effort when Letran lost against St. Benilde, 95-80.
This offseason, Gammad is looking more like a stud for the Knights as he currently averages 12.0 points on 33-percent clip from rainbow country in the 19th Filoil Ecooil Preseason Cup.
