FORMER San Beda head coach Frankie Lim is set to make his return in the NCAA this time as a consultant for the struggling University of Perpetual Help Altas.
Lim was named to the position last November 24 by school chairman Antonio L. Tamayo and he is set to join hands with Jimwell Gican and Nosa Omorogbe in handling the team.
For the meantime, Lim is handling team practices.
"A lot of work to do and recruitment will be a challenge for me," said Lim.
Lim will be bringing with him the championship culture he had with San Beda, which he led to four titles in five seasons including a sweep of NCAA Season 86 before his run ended in controversy.
Lim was involved in a well-publicized offseason brawl with longtime San Sebastian volleyball coach Roger Gorayeb at the San Beda gym in December of 2011.
Lim was suspended indefinitely by the league, prompting him to take his act to the PBA where he landed the coaching job at Barangay Ginebra.
Sources said the league board has already lifted Lim's suspension.
