FRAN Yu will still be watching Game Three of the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball Finals from the sidelines.

The NCAA has upheld its decision to hand a one-game suspension on the senior Letran guard for his disqualifying foul against Mark Sangco midway through the second quarter of Game Two.

NCAA stands by decision to ban Fran Yu

"There was no new evidence presented by CSJL as required by the NCAA rules to lift the suspension and CSJL did not contest the judgment call of the game officials," the statement read.

It's a tough blow for the Knights' three-peat dreams as they will have to play without their team captain.

Much of the load will fall on the shoulders of Brent Paraiso and fellow guards Kurt Reyson and Tommy Olivario to pick up the slack left by Yu.

Meanwhile, Kobe Monje and Kyle Tolentino will both be back in the lineup for Letran after serving their one-game bans last Sunday.
