AFTER spending a year in Thailand, former Batang Gilas stalwart Fran Yu is set to become Letran's newest recruit heading into NCAA Season 94.
The move was confirmed by a source within the team after the Knights' 92-78 win over College of St. Benilde on Thursday at the Letran gym in the NCAA on Tour.
The 19-year-old Yu moved to Trail International School in Thailand after spending a year with University of the East in UAAP Season 78.
That stint didn't last long though as he's set to move back home with the 2015 NCAA champions to forge a partnership with JP Calvo in the Letran backcourt next season.
Yu averaged only three points and nearly two assists in just 10 minutes a game in his rookie season with the Red Warriors, but showed great promise in his final two games averaging 7.5 points and 6.5 assists in 25 minutes a game against Ateneo and University of the Philippines.
He will be joining three other transfeeres in former Red Warrior Bonbon Batiller, former Benilde center Christian Fajarito and ex-La Salle slotman Larry Muyang.
