LYCEUM is set to embark on a new era as bluechip guard Mac Guadana has expressed his commitment to stay with the Pirates.
Topex Robinson, the head coach for the seniors team and the concurrent athletic director of Lyceum, bared the news as the Intramuros squad gets to keep its first homegrown talent.
Guadana, 18, is one of the most sought after talents in the high school scene having previous runs with the Gilas youth team in a number of international tournaments.
The 5-foot-11 court general was also responsible in towing the Junior Pirates to their first ever Final Four and Finals appearance in NCAA Season 95.
In his final year in the juniors division, Guadana averaged 17.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.0 steals as he finished second in the MVP plum.
He will be reunited with his teammate and last season's Juniors MVP John Barba as they usher in a fresh start in Lyceum in next year's NCAA Season 96.
The Pirates are coming off a third place finish this year and is looking to pick up the pieces after the graduation of main cogs Mike Nzeusseu and twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino.
