COLLEGE of St. Benilde's hopes for a long-awaited title just got even brighter with the addition of freshly-minted UAAP boys' basketball champion coach Manu Inigo.
The youthful tactician will add both championship and title drought-ending experience to Charles Tiu's staff starting NCAA Season 101. He had just led University of Santo Tomas to its first juniors crown since 2001.

And not only is Inigo a winner in the UAAP, he had also once guided San Beda to the NCAA juniors mountaintop back in 2019.

The Blazers have emerged as legitimate contenders ever since Season 97, but have been unable to get over the hump even with two MVPs in Will Gozum and Allen Liwag showing the way.
Now, an already-talented staff featuring Tiu, Gabby Severino, TY Tang, Paolo Layug, Carlo Tan, and Marvin Bienvenida will welcome a two-league titlist to the fold to make the most of a roster centered around Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez.
It also doesn't hurt that Ynot and Sanchez were also part of the core of the Red Cubs' champion team under Inigo. They now reunite in the hopes of experiencing the same euphoria for a Taft side that last celebrated a championship was way back in 2000.
