    CALVIN Oftana leads the San Beda four-pack in MVP battle after the first round of the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament.

    The fourth-year forward has been the anchor to the Red Lions' unbeaten run through the first round of the eliminations, nabbing 51.22 points in the players' average value (PAV) after averaging 15.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks.

    If Oftana is able to keep this up, he'll be the first San Beda player to claim the top individual plum since Sudan Daniel won the trophy in 2010.

    But it's not just Oftana as three other Red Lions made up the top five of the MVP race.

    Evan Nelle is at second with his 44.11 PAV after tallying a league-best 5.8 assists, to go with his 10.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals.

    Cameroonian big man Donald Tankoua is at fourth with his 43.44 PAV after netting 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, while James Canlas rounds out the top five with hus 41.56 PAV after recording 12.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.

    San Sebastian's Allyn Bulanadi is the lone player not to come from Mendiola to make it to the top five as he placed third with his 43.78 PAV after averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks.

    Making the top 10 in the MVP race are St. Benilde's Justin Gutang (40.75 PAV), Lyceum's Jaycee Marcelino (39.75 PAV) and Mike Nzeusseu (38.67 PAV), Letran's Larry Muyang (37.89 PAV), and Perpetual's Ben Adamos (37.44 PAV).

    Arellano's Justin Arana is also the top rookie after the first round, with the transferee from University of Santo Tomas placing 12th with his 36.56 PAV.
