FOUR San Beda players got their due as they bannered the awardees for the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament on Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Calvin Oftana was formally named as the eighth MVP to come from Mendiola as he was joined by Red Lions teammates Evan Nelle and James Canlas in the Mythical Team.
Donald Tankoua was also hailed as the Best Foreign Player as the quartet racked trophies in the awarding ceremonies.
Completing the Mythical Team are San Sebastian's Allyn Bulanadi and Lyceum's Jaycee Marcelino.
Letran did get its honoree in Fran Yu, who won this season's Most Improved Award.
Justin Arana of Arellano bagged the Rookie of the Year plum, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year award.
He was joined in the Defensive Team by Oftana, Perpetual's Ben Adamos, EAC's JP Maguliano, and San Sebastian's JM Calma.
Mike Nzeusseu of Lyceum was also named as the Best Defensive Foreign Player.
In the juniors' division, Junior Pirates' do-it-all whiz John Barba was formally honored as the MVP as he led the Mythical Team which included Lyceum teammate Mac Guadana, Mapua's Jonnel Policarpio, and the San Beda duo of Justine Sanchez and Yukien Andrada.
Policarpio also won the Best Defensive Player, as he Barba, Andrada, Letran's Shawn Umali, and LSGH's Jan Manansala joined him in the Defensive Team.
Andrada was also the Most Improved Player, while Manansala was the Rookie of the Year.
