THINGS haven’t been going well for a San Sebastian side that's wallowing down the NCAA standings, but Michael Calisaan isn't giving up on the Stags.
Calisaan added a milestone to his final collegiate season by winning MVP honors in the 2018 NCAA All-Star game with his 17-point, 13-rebound, four-assist performance in the Saints' thrilling 94-89 victory over the Heroes on Friday night.
“Sa akin, ginawa ko lang po best ko kasi last na to eh. Hindi ko na mauulit,” said the Stags standout. “Ginrab ko lang talaga yung opportunity na every time na ipasok ako, ginagawa ko lahat."
The mid-season spectacle over, Calisaan goes to the second half of the season very much motivated to pump life into the Stags' 1-8 (win-loss) campaign.
Winning All-Star coach Boyet Fernandez isn't ruling out a San Sebastian resurgence, especially after Calisaan's showing in the All-Stars.
“Dark horse na ngayon ang Baste. May MVP na eh,” he said.
