FORMER University of the East cager Bonbon Batiller is shifting to the NCAA with the Arellano Chiefs, sources told Spin.ph.
Batiller, one of the top scorers of UE in the last two seasons, is moving to the Chiefs, according to a high-ranking team official, a few months after being released by the Red Warriors.
Batiller's move, once official, is expected to be a big boost for the Chiefs, who recently lost last season’s top gun Jio Jalalon who joined the Gilas cadets and turned pro in playing for the Star Hotshots in the PBA.
Batiller was averaging 11.1 points per game two seasons ago for UE before being let go by head coach Derrick Pumaren last February, citing "academic problems."

Batiller will take a one-year residency before he is eligible to play for the Chiefs in 2018.
The Chiefs have been launching a build-up to ensure their competitiveness for the next few seasons. Arellano has also recently landed Ian Alban, who played for Lyceum last year.
