ROBERT Bolick is grateful to have Kiefer Ravena drop by the San Beda gym on Thursday for a personal workout.
"Nagpapasalamat ako na he made time to come to San Beda and teach me some of the drills. Hopefully, if ever libre siya, magcha-chat naman siya sa 'kin," Bolick said after the Red Lions' win over Emilio Aguinaldo College on Tuesday.
Ravena is currently serving an 18-month ban after testing positive for banned substances he kept himself busy last week by teaching to Bolick some of the drills he learned during his own US training last year.
"Nagpapasalamat lang ako na tinuruan niya ako ng libre, walang bayad," Bolick said.
Whatever training the two did seem to have worked as Bolick had 15 points on 6-8 shooting to go along six assists and without a single turnover in the Red Lions' 61-46 win over the Generals on Tuesday.
"Nakakatulong talaga 'yung training with him. Ball screens, finishing around the rim. Marami siyang drills na itinuro na bago sa 'kin. Open up naman ako sa kanya parati. I ask him questions kahit sino naman, magtatanong sa kanya," Bolick said.
"Lahat ng mga tinuturo niya sa'kin eh, ginagawa ko din."
