FACING a towering team like Letran, Robert Bolick took it upon himself to help out on the boards.
And he need not look far for an inspiration.
The 6-foot-1 guard was just one of the thousands of people who was left mesmerized with the way Scottie Thompson rebounded in their PBA Commissoiner's Cup title series against San Miguel.
Bolick definitely showed that as he finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds in their 80-76 win over Letran.
For Bolick, if the former NCAA MVP and the freshly crowned Finals MVP in Thompson can do it, then he certainly can as well.
"Kita niyo naman mga Scottie rebound ko?" Bolick playfully asked reporters after the match.
"Bago kami nung game nung Thursday marami akong offensive rebounds eh.
Bolick did a nice emulation of Thompson's style of play as he jumped into the paint and soared high for the rebounds right when the Knights were focused on his bigger opponents.
And when that worked the first time, Bolick figured why not do it consistently?
