LYCEUM caught a big fish in Mapua behind a 96-81 upset in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament on Tuesday.

The quartet of Ato Barba, Mclaude Guadania, Vincent Cunanan, and Jonathan Daileg caught fire in the fourth quarter and outscored the Cardinals, 31-15, in pulling off the stunner at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan.

Barba, the former juniors MVP, notched his fourth straight 25-point output, while long-time partner Guadana added 16 for the Pirates, who improved to a 3-2 record after winning their third straight game.

Barba was 4-of-5 from three-point range and had nine rebounds in guiding the Pirates to a five-way tie at second place along with Mapua, Letran, University of Perpetual Help, and defending champion San Beda.

Cunanan added 15 points and Daileg, getting the extra minutes with JM Bravo out for the rest of the season (spine injury) had 14.

Two free throws by Daileg inside the final two minutes sparked a 7-1 Lyceum run that finally took the fight out of Mapua, 94-81.
