YET another exhibit of the University of the Philippines' discovery and development of talent is eager to take on a new challenge.
Hardworking forward Mark Belmonte has bid farewell to the Fighting Maroons, with the hopes of sharing his championship attitude and showcasing his skills further on another stage: the 'Grand Ol' League.'

"Mark will always have his place as a champion in Diliman. Mula Seasons 86 hanggang 88, we are thankful to him for playing his part in our continued success," said UP Office of Athletics and Development Director Bo Perasol.
"We wish him the best at panigurado, he will keep playing his part for his next team."
In his three years in maroon-and-green, Belmonte had a total of 12 starts under his belt. In his most recent season, he posted per game counts of 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds during State U's silver medal finish.
