ALLYN Bulanadi caught fire for San Sebastian as it stretched its winning run to five with an 83-67 whipping of St. Benilde on Thursday in the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The do-it-all forward was magnificent all game long, posting a career-best 32 points on a 5-of-12 shooting from deep, to go with four rebounds, three steals and two assists to anchor the Golden Stags' all-out attack on the way to their seventh win in 10 games.
"Last year na rin niya ito and this is his last chance," said coach Egay Macaraya.
Bulanadi helped San Sebastian break the floodgates after holding a tight 56-48 advantage, triggering a 12-2 spurt to end the third quarter with an 18-point lead, 68-50.
The lead further swelled to 25 points, 78-53 with a Bulanadi fast break layup off of a steal as the Golden Stags sent the Blazers to their fourth loss in five outings.
RK Ilagan had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Alvin Capobres had 12 points and six boards for San Sebastian.
"They work hard and play defense and it was all team work. Yun ang nangyayari ngayon sa team," said Macaraya.
Yankie Haruna led St. Benilde with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Robi Nayve had 10 points and two boards.
Justin Gutang had nine points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the skidding Blazers.
