EOG Sports Management bared the news with Liwag hopeful to reboot his career elsewhere.
The Caviteno big man had posted 10.2 points and 8.6 rebounds for EAC in the NCAA Season 98 seniors basketball tournament.
However, an injury late in the season derailed the 21-year-old's campaign as the Generals bombed out of the tournament with their 3-15 win-loss record.
Liwag was recruited by coach Oliver Bunyi from St. Patrick School to join EAC and was sparingly used in NCAA Season 97 before a Gilas Pilipinas callup midway last year boosted his confidence and helped him emerge as one of the leaders for the Generals.
