SAN Sebastian Golden Staglet Miguel Bonalos passed away on Sunday due to cardiac arrest, the school announced on social media.
He was 20 years old.
"We extend our sincerest sympathy and deepest condolences to the family of Miguel Maurizio O. Bonalos. We pray that the Good God brings the Bonalos family peace, strength, and comfort to their hearts during this hard time," the statement read.
Bonalos was diagnosed with a heart condition back in 2015, but was still able to play nine games in last year's NCAA Season 94 juniors basketball tournament where he averaged 5.8 points and 5.2 rebounds.
His remains lie at Premier Room 1, Loyola Memorial Chapel in Commonwealth.
