    Milo Janao stars as San Sebastian deals Lyceum first loss in NCAA Jrs

    SAN Sebastian made it back-to-back wins in the NCAA Season 95 juniors basketball tournament as it dealt Lyceum its first defeat, 82-74, on Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

    Milo Janao buried four treys on his way to 24 points, on top of seven rebounds as the Golden Staglets improved their win-loss record to 2-1.

    "Automatic na yan. Every game, 100-percent ibinibigay niyan," said coach Melo Banua of Janao.

    Kim Bulasa added 16 points and five boards, as Dylan Darbin got 12 points and six rebounds in the victory.

    San Sebastian was able to hold off Lyceum despite John Barba helping the Junior Pirates get to within three, 69-66, in the final 6:16, using an 8-3 stretch to grab 76-69 lead with 3:43 remaining.

    "Buti na lang natupad yung game plan namin. Binagalan lang namin yung laro kasi yung Guadana and Barba, masyadong magaling sa open court," said Banua.

    Barba anchored the Junior Pirates (3-1) with 25 points, 17 rebounds and four assists, while Mac Guadana had a forgettable 5-of-19 shooting from the field to finish with 17 points, six boards and four dimes in the loss.

    Jose Rizal University clipped Perpetual, 88-83.

    Gholam Garcia lit up for 31 points built on five triples, to go with eight rebounds and two blocks as the Light Bombers bounced back to rise to 3-2.

    Jonathan Medina chipped in 11 points and seven boards, Arlen Lenon also scored 11, and Condrad Famaranco had 10 points, five assists and four boards.

    Emman Galman made his return to the Junior Altas, posting a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds with seven steals, one assist and one block.

    Edzel Galoy accumulated 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Shawn Orgo had 13 points and four boards for Perpetual, which suffered its second straight loss to fall to 2-2.

    Joshua Ramirez also brought Letran its second straight win with a 73-56 trumping of EAC-Immaculate Concepcion Academy in the nightcap.

    The Gilas Youth member fired 19 points built on five triples as the Squires went up to a 2-3 record.

    Shawn Argente accounted for 13 points, as Stacey Tibayan had eight points, two rebounds, and two assists in the win.

    Adrian Balowa capped the winless Brigadiers (0-4) with 15 points and five rebounds.
