SAN Sebastian boosted its Final Four hopes as the Staglets beat Letran, 67-66, on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 93 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Lewis Pasamante shot 5 for 10 from the 3-point line and finished with 21 points and six rebounds as the Staglets improved their record to 7-6, a half-game behind the Squires for fourth place in the team standings.
San Beda climbed to third place with an 8-5 card as Letran was dealt its second straight defeat for an 8-6 win-loss slate.
Lyceum also kept alive its Final Four bid when the Junior Pirates beat Emilio Aguinaldo College, 92-58.
McLaude Guadana had 13 points for the Junior Pirates, who now own an even 7-7 card for sixth place in the standings.
EAC dropped to 1-13.
