SAN Beda locked up the top seed in the NCAA Season 95 juniors basketball tournament with a 108-80 bamboozling of Letran Tuesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Justine Sanchez led the Red Cubs' mauling with his 16 points and nine rebounds as he led the six players who notched double digits in scoring for the Mendiola side.

Cyrus Llarena added 14 points, three boards, and two assists, while Hans Nicdao scored 13.

Rhayyan Amsali and Yukien Andrada combined for 24 points and 13 rebounds, as Charles Delfino had 10 as San Beda continued to stay at the top of the standings at 14-1.

The Squires, meanwhile, leaned on CJ Saure, who poured 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks, and Shawn Umali, who got 20 points and five boards, in the loss.

Letran is still in the Final Four race at 7-8, although this loss will surely sting with the close race in the middle of the pack.

In the first game, EAC-Immaculate Concepcion Academy snapped its seven-game losing skid and endangered Perpetual's playoff hopes with a 90-86 shocker.

Adrian Balowa led the Brigadiers to only their second win in 13 games with his explosive 30-point performance.

Ron Encila added 22 points for EAC-ICA.

The Junior Altas fell to 4-9 in the standings and now faces a must-win situation for their remaining games.

Jerico Nunez carried Perpetual with 22 points and 20 rebounds in the defeat.

Lyceum also snapped its three-game losing skid with a 99-94 triumph over Mapua in the nightcap.

Gyle Montano stepped up with 28 points and seven rebounds to lead the Junior Pirates to the victory.

John Barba added 25 points, three boards, and two assists, as Mac Guadana collected 19 points, seven assists, four steals, three rebounds, and two blocks in the win as Lyceum moved up to an 8-6 card.

Jonnel Policarpio was the lone bright spot for the Red Robins with 33 points and 12 rebounds as they were pushed on the brink of elimination with their 4-10 card.
