Sustaining momentum following huge win against league leader Mapua, the Red Cubs grabbed solo second with a 6-2 win-loss record.
Sam Abu Hijle fired 19 points and collared nine rebounds, while Peter Alfara also scored 19.
Luke Sese had 16 points and Evan Nelle added 11 for the Red Cubs, who used a 23-15 second quarter surge to take a 44-29 lead at halftime.
The visiting team hardly flinched amid the jeers from the home crowd,
"They were sharp, they were focused. Pinaghandaan din namin talaga," said San Beda coach JB Sison.
Jielo Razon paced the Junior Altas with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists.
Kim Siege and John Umalis chipped in 12 markers apiece for the Junior Altas, who dropped to 3-5.
