OTHER NCAA schools are now after the services of Romuel Junsay after failing to make the lineup of Mapua for Season 93 due to academic issues.

Junsay, who led the Red Robins in scoring last year, was not eligible to play for the team, according to a school official who refused to be named, as he struggled to make the cut in his studies.

Then again, the 5-foot-7 Grade 10 student, quickly gained interest from other rival schools.

Sources said Arellano is one of the teams that expressed strong interest to recruit Junsay, who was selected to the NBTC All-Star Game last year.

Junsay is no longer eligible to transfer in the UAAP as he only has one season remaining in his high school career.

During Season 92, Junsay averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 steals for the Red Robins on the way to winning the title.
