    Rhayyan Amsali leads San Beda Red Cubs to wire-to-wire win over San Sebastian Stags

    RHAYYAN Amsali did it all for San Beda to pull off a 88-79 victory over San Sebastian on Tuesday for its eighth straight win in the NCAA Season 95 juniors basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

    The Gilas Youth stalwart unloaded 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals as the Red Cubs improved their win-loss record to 12-1.

    Yukien Andrada provided the muscle down low with 18 points and 10 boards, while Justine Sanchez scored 10.

    San Beda wasted little time taking control of the game, moving ahead 28-16 in the first quarter and cruised to the wire-to-wire win.

    Dylan Darbin led the Golden Staglets (6-6) with 24 points in the defeat.

    In the second game, Letran boosted its bid for the semifinals with a huge 83-79 stunner over CSB-La Salle Greenhills.

    Shawn Umali got his way inside with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block to help the Squires hike their record to 6-7.

    CJ Saure scored 15 points, Lenard Santiago added 13 markers and Joshua Ramirez notched 11 points.

    The loss sent the Greenies down to joint second place anew with Lyceum at 7-5.

    RC Calimag topped LSGH with 28 points and 11 rebounds in the defeat, its third in its last five outings.

    In the nightcap, Arellano added to Mapua's woes with a 60-54 triumph.

    John Tolentino led the Braves with 17 points and two rebounds as they rose to a 7-6 card.

    Rufino Sablaon added 12 points, while Chris Recto got a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards in the win.

    The defending champion Red Robins leaned on Jonnel Policarpio, who had 31 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, but his efforts couldn't stop his side from dropping to a 4-8 card.
